Emoji translator & picker

This emoji translator and picker searches 285 curated Unicode emoji by word, or browses them by category — click any one and it copies straight to your clipboard, ready to paste into a caption, comment or bio. It works the same on every platform, because emoji are ordinary Unicode characters, not something any one network owns.

Emoji translator: search by word

Click any emoji to copy it. Nothing is uploaded — copying happens entirely in your browser.

How to use the emoji picker

  1. Search or browse by category. Type a word like "fire" or "heart" in the search box, or click a category tab such as Smileys or Hearts to browse instead.
  2. Click an emoji to copy it. Click any emoji in the grid and it is copied to your clipboard immediately — no long-press, right-click or extension needed.
  3. Paste it into your caption. Paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V wherever you are writing — a caption, a comment, a bio or a direct message.
  4. Switch categories for more options. Use the 7 category tabs — Smileys, Gestures, Hearts, Nature, Food, Objects and Symbols — to browse beyond a single search term.
  5. Reuse the same picker everywhere. The picker works identically for every platform, since Unicode emoji are not specific to any one network or app.

Worked examples

Searching “heart” surfaces every heart color

Typing heart narrows the grid to every curated heart emoji — from ❤️ to 💔 — in one search, ready to click and copy.

Browsing the Food category

The Food category tab surfaces dozens of curated food and drink emoji, from 🍕 to 🍩, all reachable in one click without typing anything.

Emoji translator & picker FAQ

Does the emoji picker work for every social platform?
Yes. Every major platform accepts standard Unicode emoji in captions, comments and bios, so the same picker works everywhere without any platform-specific version.
Does the picker include every Unicode emoji?
No — it is a curated set of 285 commonly used emoji organized into 7 categories, not the full Unicode emoji list, which runs to well over a thousand characters.
Does clicking an emoji upload or send anything?
No. Copying happens entirely in your browser using the clipboard API — nothing is uploaded, saved, or sent to a server.
Can I search for an emoji by name?
Yes. Type a word like “laugh”, “fire” or “thumbs up” into the search box and the grid narrows to matching emoji instantly.
Why does an emoji look different on different apps?
Unicode defines the character, not its artwork — each platform draws its own visual style for the same emoji, which is why the same character can look slightly different from one app to another.
What if my browser blocks the copy?
Some browsers require a permission or a secure connection for clipboard access. If copying does not work, the emoji character is still visible and selectable directly from the grid.
Is there a limit to how many emoji I can copy?
No. Click as many as you need, one at a time — each click copies just that one emoji, replacing whatever was on your clipboard before it.
