A 400-character caption on Pinterest
Pinterest shows about the first 100 characters before "…more", so 300 of the 400 are hidden until someone taps. Put the hook in those first 100.

Pinterest works like a visual search engine: people find Pins by typing words, so emoji decorate a Pin but never replace its keywords. Put the words people search for first, then add one or two emoji where they help, such as a pointer to a link or a symbol that matches the topic. Every emoji counts toward the field’s character limit.
| Field | Limit | Emoji tip |
|---|---|---|
| Pin title | 100 characters | One emoji at most, after the keywords; feeds cut long titles short |
| Description | 800 characters | A few emoji to break up text, never in place of keywords |
| Alt text | Separate field | No emoji: screen readers read each one out by name |

Count a post before you paste it with the character counter, or strip emoji from a draft with the emoji remover.
The limits SkedCast’s composer checks for Pinterest before a post goes out, read from the same rules table the composer uses.
