A 400-character caption on Pinterest
Pinterest shows about the first 100 characters before "…more", so 300 of the 400 are hidden until someone taps. Put the hook in those first 100.
Type your text and this Pinterest font generator shows it in eight Unicode styles, bold, italic, script and more, ready to copy into your Pinterest name, your About bio (up to 500 characters) or a Pin title (up to 100). Keep your username and search keywords plain: Pinterest finds Pins by their words. Nothing leaves your browser. Pinterest posts take up to 800 characters, shows about 100 before "…more".
Type your text; every style appears below it, ready to copy. Nothing leaves your browser.
In your name, your About bio and, sparingly, a Pin title. Styled letters are ordinary Unicode characters, so Pinterest shows them wherever it accepts text, except your username, which takes plain letters only.
| Field | Fancy text? | Limit or rule |
|---|---|---|
| Name (or business name) | Yes | A short styled word reads best |
| About bio | Yes | Up to 500 characters, styled letters included |
| Pin title | Yes, sparingly | Up to 100 characters; keep the search phrase plain |
| Pin description | Better plain | Up to 800 characters; Pinterest reads it for relevance |
| Username | No | Only letters, numbers and underscores, 3 to 30 characters |

They can. Pinterest finds Pins by the words in Pin titles, descriptions and board names, and a styled letter is a different character from the plain one, so a keyword written in bold Unicode may not match the plain word someone searches for. Style a word for show, and keep the search phrase plain; the Pinterest title generator and how the Pinterest algorithm works cover what search reads.

Converting “Sked” to bold produces the four Unicode characters 𝐒, 𝐤, 𝐞, 𝐝, starting at code point U+1D400 — four distinct letters, not the word “Sked” with a bold style layered on top.
Not fully. Screen readers often read styled Unicode letters one by one, by their symbol names, or skip them, so a styled bio can be lost on a listener. Use it for a word or a short line, never for the information a reader needs. The fancy font generator covers the same styles for every other network.
Paste the styled title into the Pin in SkedCast, check the preview and the 100-character title count, pick the board and a time, and the Unicode text publishes exactly as you see it. The Pinterest scheduler covers boards, sections and links.
