What 0.12% means on X (Twitter)

At the 0.12% average from Socialinsider, 2026 Social Media Benchmarks report, an X (Twitter) account with 5,000 followers would see about 6 engagements on a typical post. 12 on the same audience is twice the average.

8,000 X followers, 8 posts

640 likes + 96 comments + 64 shares = 800 engagements. 800 ÷ (8,000 × 8) = 0.0125, so the X engagement rate is 1.25% per post.
