Affiliate commission calculator

Recurring affiliate commission adds up month by month: every customer you bring keeps paying, and you earn a share of each invoice. With the SkedCast program defaults you earn 30% of what each customer pays for 12 months (35% from your 10th sale), plus 20 USD per customer on Agency or above. Enter how many customers you expect to bring and see the total, the monthly figure and every month in between.

How it is worked out

Each customer pays 12 invoices that earn you commission: the first at 20% off, the rest at full price. Commission is 30%, or 35% from your 10th sale, plus $20 per customer after their 3rd paid month on Agency or above. Program defaults; excludes tax.

How to use the affiliate commission calculator

  1. Pick the plan. Choose the plan most of your audience would buy. Solo suits freelancers; Studio and above suit teams and agencies.
  2. Enter new customers a month. A realistic number of paying sign-ups from your link or code each month. Start low; you can always change it.
  3. Set cancellations. The share of paying customers who cancel each month. A few percent is common for small-business software.
  4. Choose how far to project. Six months to three years. Each customer earns commission for 12 months, so long projections level off.
  5. Decide on the monthly perk. If you give your customers the monthly perk (10–20% off their renewals; the calculator counts 10%), tick it: commission is on what they pay, so you share the cost.

Worked examples

One Studio customer

The first invoice is 49 USD less 20%, then 11 invoices at full price. At 30% that comes to 173.46 USD; at 35% it is 202.37 USD.

Two Studio customers a month for a year, 3% cancelling monthly

About 2,276 USD over the year, and about 343 USD a month by the end.

Affiliate commission FAQ

How do I calculate affiliate commission?
Multiply what each customer pays by your commission rate, for every invoice the program pays commission on, and add any bonuses. For a recurring program, repeat that for each month a customer stays, then add up every customer you brought.
What is recurring affiliate commission?
Commission paid on every invoice a customer pays for a set period, not only on the first sale. It grows as you bring more customers, because earlier customers keep paying while you add new ones.
Why does the total level off over long projections?
Each customer earns you commission for 12 months. After that, customers who joined first stop adding to your monthly figure while new ones keep starting, so it settles at a steady level set by how many you bring each month.
Are these the rates I will get?
The calculator uses the SkedCast program defaults. Your partner dashboard shows the terms that apply to you, which may differ if we agreed other terms with you in writing.
Does the calculator include tax or currency conversion?
No. Commission is calculated on what customers pay excluding tax, in US dollars. Any withholding or conversion depends on your country and payout method.
Does the calculator store my numbers?
No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser as you type, and nothing is uploaded or saved.
