Why an inbox, and why now
Publishing is half the job. The other half is what happens after a post goes out: the question under the Reel, the customer who sends a message instead of calling, the one-star review that needs an answer today. Until now that half lived in each platform’s own app, one login at a time. The SkedCast inbox puts it next to the calendar that created the posts, so the same team, the same clients and the same permissions cover both.
What arrives in the inbox
Everything that needs an answer: Instagram and Facebook comments and direct messages, Threads replies and mentions, YouTube comments, Bluesky replies and mentions, and Google Business Profile reviews. Each conversation opens beside the post it is about and the person’s history with the brand, and the list filters by client, account or kind.
- Assign conversations, label them, add internal notes, snooze them and mark them done — one at a time or in bulk
- Reply deadlines per client, with business hours, and a count of missed targets
- Sentiment and intent read on arrival, so negative comments and sales leads stand out
- Alerts for what matters to you, quiet hours and a morning digest
Automation that stays inside the rules
From the Studio plan, rules can label, assign, alert or hide the moment something arrives, and answer it three ways: with a saved reply, with an AI draft a teammate edits and sends, or with an AI reply sent automatically — each AI action following instructions you write for that rule. Automatic AI replies leave low-star reviews, negative messages, questions, complaints and anything about refunds, safety or legal matters as drafts for a person, and one switch pauses them all. Rules come with safety limits switched on by default, tell people when a direct-message reply is automated where Meta requires it, and never run on LinkedIn. A Google Business location is automated only after the business’s consent is recorded.
Google Business Profile, platform number eleven
Connect the Google account that manages a business, pick its verified locations, and each one becomes a channel. Schedule a What’s new update with an action button, an Offer or an Event to one location or all of them, alongside the rest of the calendar. Reviews arrive in the inbox with the location’s rating summary, and Insights shows each location’s views, website clicks, calls, direction requests, bookings and the search terms that found it.
For agencies there is one more layer: the business’s written authorization is recorded when you connect its profile, the business can get a daily email listing the changes made, and one click stops managing a client’s profile.
Choose who can reply
When you schedule a post you can now turn Instagram comments off, choose who can reply on Threads and whether you approve replies first, and set who can reply to — or quote — a Bluesky post. Instagram and Bluesky settings can be changed after the post is live.
