A header named "Post Copy" auto-maps to content
A source column literally called "Post Copy" is guessed as the content field, since "copy" is one of the recognised hints for that target.

How to use the spreadsheet column mapper
- Paste your CSV text. Copy your spreadsheet export, header row included, and paste it into the box, whatever your column names are.
- Review the guessed mapping. Each of your headers is matched to a suggested SkedCast field based on its name, or left unmapped if nothing matched.
- Correct any mapping. Use the dropdown next to each of your headers to change its target field, or set it to "ignore" if it should not import.
- Check the required fields are mapped. The tool flags if content or platforms — the two required bulk-import fields — are still unmapped.
- Review the mapped preview. See your data laid out under SkedCast’s real column names, exactly as it would appear once imported.
Worked examples
Two similarly-named headers only map once each
If both "Date" and "Publish Date" are present among your columns, only the first is auto-mapped to scheduledAt — the second of the 2 stays unmapped until you pick one of the 16 target fields for it yourself.

- How does the auto-guess decide which field a column maps to?
- It checks each of your header names for keyword hints — for example "caption" or "text" suggests content, and "platform" suggests platforms.
- What if the guess is wrong?
- Change it — every mapping is a dropdown you can set to any of the 16 real bulk-import fields, or to "ignore".
- What happens to a column I map to "ignore"?
- It is left out of the mapped preview entirely and would not be included if you exported the mapped result.
- Can two of my columns map to the same SkedCast field?
- The mapper allows it, but only the last one you set will show in the preview for that field, so it is worth avoiding.
- Do I have to map every column?
- No — only content and platforms are required; leave anything else unmapped or set to "ignore" if you don’t need it.
- Does this tool upload or store my spreadsheet?
- No. Mapping and preview happen entirely in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded or saved.
- Is this the same as the bulk CSV validator?
- No — this tool renames your columns to the right fields; the validator checks that the values in those fields are actually valid.
