How to use the CSV to calendar preview
- Paste your CSV text. Copy a CSV with at least a date column, ideally also platform and caption columns, and paste it into the box.
- Let the tool detect your columns. It looks for header names close to Date, Platform and Caption; a summary shows which of the three it found.
- Review the calendar grid. Each month present in your data renders as its own Sunday-first grid, with every post shown on its scheduled day.
- Spot bunching or gaps. Days with several posts stacked together, or long empty stretches, are immediately visible in the grid layout.
- Adjust your spreadsheet and re-paste. Move dates around in your source file and paste the updated CSV back in to see the grid update.

- What column names does the preview recognise?
- Date, Post date, Scheduled date and similar for the date column; Platform, Network or Channel; and Caption, Content, Text or Copy.
- What happens if my CSV has no recognisable date column?
- The preview cannot place anything on a grid without a date, so it shows a message asking you to check your header names.
- What date formats does it accept?
- ISO dates like 2026-10-01, US-style dates like 10/01/2026, and most other common formats a browser’s own date parser understands.
- Can I use this with SkedCast’s own bulk-import CSV?
- Yes — the bulk-import file’s content, platforms and scheduledAt columns are read by the same header matching.
- Does the preview validate my data, or just lay it out?
- It only lays your data out visually — use the bulk CSV validator first if you also need real schema-level validation.
- Does pasting my CSV upload or store it anywhere?
