How to do a social media bulk upload with this CSV template
- Download the template. Click the download button to save the 16-column CSV template with its one example row to your computer.
- Open it in a spreadsheet. Open the file in Excel, Google Sheets or Notion and delete the example row once you understand the shape.
- Fill in content and platforms. These two columns are the only ones the importer requires — everything else can stay blank.
- Add optional columns as needed. Fill in scheduledAt, mediaUrls, hashtags or any other column from the table below only where you need them.
- Save as CSV and import it. Save the file back to CSV format and upload it through SkedCast’s bulk import, which validates every row before anything is scheduled.
Worked examples
Multi-value cells use a pipe or a comma
Listing three hashtags as "launch|sale|newarrival" or "launch,sale,newarrival" both parse the same way — up to 60 hashtags are accepted per row.

- Which columns are actually required?
- Only content (the post text) and platforms (one or more platform keys) are required. The other 14 columns are all optional.
- How many columns does the real bulk-import template have?
- Sixteen columns, covering content, platforms, accounts, media, scheduling, client, link, hashtags, title, alt text and a few other optional fields.
- Can I separate multiple platforms or hashtags with a comma instead of a pipe?
- Yes — both a comma and a pipe are accepted as separators for platforms, account IDs, media URLs and hashtags.
- What happens if I leave the scheduledAt column blank?
- Rows with no scheduledAt value are distributed automatically across your posting schedule when you commit the import.
- Does downloading the template store or send my data anywhere?
- No. The template is generated and downloaded entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded or saved on a server.
- Is this the same file format the real bulk import expects?
- Yes — the column names and order match the production bulk-import schema exactly, so a filled-in copy imports without remapping.
- Can I check my filled-in file before uploading it?
