Ready to migrate from CoSchedule to SkedCast? CoSchedule documents no spreadsheet export of scheduled social posts, but it does document a Calendar Sync that exports your Projects and Social Messages to an external calendar as an ICS feed. Use it to record what is still queued, bulk-import that list into SkedCast, and cancel once everything is confirmed live.
What can you take with you from CoSchedule?
Scheduled posts
No CSV or spreadsheet export of scheduled social posts is documented. Calendar Sync (Settings › Integrations › Calendar Sync) exports Projects and Social Messages as ICS feeds to Google, Outlook or iCal: read-only, not real-time, showing two months ahead, and omitting tasks. A Project Report CSV (Share › Export CSV) is labelled for Marketing Suite and covers projects, and analytics reports export as PDF or CSV.
Disconnecting or cancelling
Cancelling (Settings › Billing › ellipsis › Cancel Subscription › Cancel Plan, owner only) keeps access to the calendar until the paid period runs out; managed plans email [email protected]. Deleting the calendar or account is permanent and CoSchedule says it cannot recover data, including previously scheduled social messages. No article says whether queued posts publish after cancellation, or what removing a single social profile does to its queued messages.
How do you move from CoSchedule to SkedCast?
- Record what is still queued in CoSchedule. In Settings › Integrations › Calendar Sync, enable Calendar Sync, then use “Export Calendar ICS Feeds” to choose the Projects or Social Profiles to sync to an external calendar. The feed is read-only and shows two months ahead, so read your queue from it and list it into a CSV; for anything further out, use CoSchedule’s calendar view.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Rebuild any broader campaign planning separately. CoSchedule’s marketing calendar spans content and campaigns beyond social; SkedCast is a social scheduler. Plan a separate tool if you rely on that broader calendar.
- Cancel CoSchedule once every post is confirmed live. Cancel from Settings › Billing (owner only). Do not delete the calendar or account until SkedCast is confirmed live, since deletion cannot be recovered and includes previously scheduled social messages. CoSchedule’s help does not say whether queued posts publish after cancellation.
