Ready to migrate from ContentStudio to SkedCast? ContentStudio documents no bulk export of your calendar: posts can be downloaded as a PDF one at a time, and the Media Library can email a CSV of media links. What can you take with you from ContentStudio?
Scheduled posts
No bulk or calendar export of scheduled posts is documented. You can download a single post as a PDF from the Planner (three-dots menu › Download Post as PDF; it includes media and caption), one at a time, and Media Library › Bulk Actions › Export as CSV emails a CSV of media links (media only, not posts). The analytics drill-down post list explicitly cannot be exported. A read-only shareable calendar link exists but is not an export.
Disconnecting or cancelling
Two ContentStudio articles disagree on removing a social account: one says its scheduled posts will no longer be published, the other says they will be permanently deleted along with its queues and past analytics. Removing a workspace pauses publishing and converts scheduled posts to drafts. Only the Super Admin can cancel (billing via Paddle); billing stops, access runs to the end of the paid period, and data is listed as retained, but the article does not say whether still-scheduled posts publish once access ends. Account deletion is restorable within 90 days.
How do you move from ContentStudio to SkedCast?
- Record what is still queued in ContentStudio. In the Planner (Calendar, List, Feed or Grid view), open a post’s three-dots menu and choose Download Post as PDF; it works one post at a time. Copy what is still queued into a CSV. Media Library › Bulk Actions › Export as CSV gives you media links only.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Do not remove accounts or workspaces until the queue is confirmed live. One ContentStudio article says removing a social account stops its scheduled posts from publishing and another says they are permanently deleted. Removing a workspace converts its scheduled posts to drafts.
- Cancel ContentStudio once every post is confirmed live. Only the Super Admin can cancel. Billing stops and access continues to the end of the paid period, after which you need to re-subscribe to use it. ContentStudio’s articles do not say whether still-scheduled posts publish after access ends, so confirm every post is live in SkedCast first.
