Migrate from SocialPilot to SkedCast
Ready to migrate from SocialPilot to SkedCast? SocialPilot lets you export posts from Manage Posts as a CSV, including the ones still in the queue, so the move is an export and re-import. What can you take with you from SocialPilot?
Scheduled posts
In Posts › Manage Posts, filter by account or group, select the posts (Select All is available) and click the CSV button. SocialPilot says you can download posts in the queue, published posts, posts with errors and unscheduled posts, and the CSV is designed to be re-imported through its Bulk Import (up to 500 posts per upload). The exported column list is not stated, and no plan restriction on the export is stated.
Disconnecting or cancelling
SocialPilot says that deleting an account from SocialPilot also deletes all queued posts on the platform associated with that account. Cancel from Profile › Subscriptions › Cancel Subscription; the subscription stops from the next billing date, and a 30-day pause is offered instead. The account then becomes locked when the subscription is cancelled or the trial ends; no article says outright whether already-queued posts publish after the lock.
How do you move from SocialPilot to SkedCast?
- Export your queued posts from SocialPilot. In Posts › Manage Posts (tabs include Queued, Unscheduled, Error, Delivered and Pending Approval), select the account or group, tick the posts you want (or Select All) and click the CSV button. The Delivered tab holds posts shared in the last 6 months.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Do not delete accounts until the queue is confirmed live. SocialPilot deletes all queued posts for an account when you delete that account. Confirm every post is live in SkedCast first.
- Cancel SocialPilot once every post is confirmed live. Profile › Subscriptions › Cancel Subscription; it stops from the next billing date, and a 30-day pause is offered instead. The account becomes locked once the subscription is cancelled, and SocialPilot’s help does not say whether queued posts publish after that.
