Connect your TikTok account to a social media scheduler (and fix connection problems)

Connect your TikTok account to SkedCast, a social media scheduler, in a few steps. Connecting TikTok is a standard sign-in through TikTok’s official login. SkedCast’s TikTok app is audited by TikTok, so posts publish with the visibility you choose, and you can connect as many TikTok accounts as your plan allows.

Before you connect

  • Any TikTok account can be connected; no special account type is required to authorize.
  • TikTok asks you to choose who can view each post (for example everyone, followers or only you) and caps each creator account at about 15 posts a day through its API.

How to connect TikTok

  1. 1In SkedCast, open Connected Accounts, choose Connect, then TikTok — or send the account owner an invite link to connect it themselves.
  2. 2Sign in to TikTok and approve the requested permissions.

  4. 4When you schedule a post, choose who can view it; SkedCast shows the options TikTok offers for that account.

What can you publish to TikTok once it is connected?

  • A caption of up to 2,200 characters; every post needs an image or video.
  • Images: up to 35 per post, JPG, WEBP, PNG.
  • Video: one per post, MP4, MOV, WEBM, up to 4 GB each, up to 10 minutes long.
  • Scheduling by SkedCast, which holds the post and publishes it at the time you set.

Common connection problems

A post published with the wrong visibility.
Each post publishes with the visibility chosen when it was scheduled. Open the post in SkedCast, check the setting, and for future posts pick the option you want before scheduling.
A permissions/scope error keeps happening even after reconnecting.
Reconnect the account and approve every permission TikTok lists. If you unticked a permission during sign-in, TikTok keeps it off until you approve it again.
A post failed because the daily limit was reached.
TikTok caps each creator account at about 15 posts a day through its API, shared across every app. Move the post to the next day; SkedCast paces TikTok posts per account to stay inside the cap.

Can my TikTok posts from SkedCast be public?
Yes. SkedCast’s TikTok app is audited by TikTok, so each post publishes with the visibility you choose when scheduling: everyone, followers or only you, as TikTok offers for that account.
How many TikTok accounts can I connect?
As many as your SkedCast plan’s connected-account limit allows. Each TikTok account can publish about 15 posts a day through TikTok’s API, a limit TikTok sets.
Can a client connect their own TikTok account without sharing a password?
Yes. Send the account owner an invite link from SkedCast. They sign in to TikTok themselves and approve the connection, so their password never leaves their hands and you can start scheduling once it is connected.
What happens to scheduled posts if the TikTok connection breaks?
They cannot publish until the account is reconnected. SkedCast shows each connection’s health and offers a one-click reconnect; after reconnecting, retry any post that failed in the meantime.
Can I connect more than one TikTok account?
Yes. Connect each account separately; they all count toward your plan’s connected-account limit, and you can group them by client so each client’s posts stay apart.
