How to size a Pin correctly
- Start from 1000×1500 pixels. Design at Pinterest’s own recommended 1000×1500-pixel canvas so your Pin renders at full quality on both desktop and mobile.
- Keep the 2:3 aspect ratio. Stick to a 2:3 ratio rather than a taller or wider crop, since Pinterest’s own guidance says other ratios can hurt how often the Pin is shown.
- Stay above the 600px minimum width. Publish nothing narrower than about 600 pixels wide, or the image renders blurry on high-resolution and Retina screens.
- Avoid the 1:2.1 crop line. Keep any logo, text or call to action well above the bottom of a very tall Pin, since Pinterest crops anything past roughly a 1:2.1 ratio.
- Check the file size and format. Export as JPEG, PNG or WebP and keep the file under 20MB, which comfortably covers a full-resolution 1000×1500 image.
