Pinterest pin limit per day: scheduling limits and how many Pins to post

No, not one Pinterest documents. Its help centre and developer pages, all read on 4 November 2026, state no maximum number of Pins per day for organic posting, so a specific daily cap quoted online is a third party’s estimate. Pinterest’s rules are about behaviour instead: create Pins frequently and consistently, aim for original content weekly, and avoid uploading duplicate Pins or saving the same one again and again. Every limit Pinterest does publish:

Up to 10 at a time with Pinterest’s own scheduler, each scheduled one at a time and up to 30 days ahead, from a business account. A different Pinterest help page, on Pin distribution, still says “up to two weeks in advance”, so the two pages disagree; the Schedule Pins article is the one that describes the scheduler. Once a Pin is scheduled you can change its publish date, title, board, description and link, but not its image or video. To schedule one in Pinterest:

Limits on the requests an app makes, not on how many Pins an account may post. Every request counts toward a universal limit: 1,000 a day on Trial access and 100 a second per user per app on Standard access. Creating, editing or deleting Pins, boards and board sections also falls in the org_write category, capped at 300 requests a day per app on Trial access and 100 a minute per user per app on Standard access. Pinterest notes the limits can change without notice.

The published advice differs by source and has shifted over time. Pinterest steers away from a number; the daily figures come from tool vendors:

Volume alone is not what Pinterest names. Its help centre says repeatedly saving the same Pins, or uploading content that already exists on Pinterest, can get an account flagged as spam and temporarily blocked from creating Pins. The often-quoted “50 a day” threshold is Tailwind’s finding about reach, quoted by Buffer, not a Pinterest rule. Spread fresh Pins across days, give each its own image, title, description and board, and link to a page that matches the Pin.

SkedCast holds a scheduled Pin itself and sends it to Pinterest at the time you set, so Pinterest’s 30-day window and 10-Pin queue do not apply: you can plan up to 12 months ahead, and paid plans have no cap on Pins waiting per account (the Free plan holds up to 10 per account and publishes up to 3 a day). A Pin needs an image or video and a board, with a title of up to 100 characters and a description of up to 800; it can carry one image, a carousel of up to 5 images, or one video.
