CTR calculator (click-through rate)

Calculate your link click-through rate from clicks and impressions: CTR = clicks ÷ impressions × 100. A real, simple, hand-verified formula — enter your own link clicks and impressions from whatever platform’s analytics you’re reading, and get the percentage instantly, entirely in your browser. No benchmark or industry-average claim is layered on top of the plain formula.

How many times your link was clicked.

How many times the post or link was shown.

Formula

CTR = clicks ÷ impressions × 100

How to use the CTR calculator

  1. Enter your link clicks. Type how many times your link or post was clicked.
  2. Enter your impressions. Type how many times the post or link was shown.
  3. Read the click-through rate. See clicks divided by impressions, times 100, shown as a percentage.
  4. Compare across posts. Recalculate for other posts to see which links perform relatively better.

Worked examples

45 clicks on 1,500 impressions

45 ÷ 1,500 × 100 = a 3% click-through rate for that link.

Doubling impressions with the same clicks halves CTR

The same 45 clicks against 3,000 impressions instead gives 1.5%, since the denominator doubled while clicks stayed flat.

Click-through rate calculator FAQ

What counts as an impression?
How many times the post or link was shown to someone, as reported by your platform’s own analytics — this calculator only applies the formula to whatever number you enter.
Is a higher CTR always better?
Generally yes for a link’s effectiveness, but CTR alone doesn’t measure whether those clicks led to anything valuable afterward.
What is a good click-through rate?
It varies enormously by platform, placement and audience, so this tool reports the raw calculated rate without an invented universal benchmark.
Does this calculator store my numbers?
No — the calculation happens entirely in your browser as you type, and nothing is uploaded or saved.
Is this the same CTR the CPM/CPC/CPA/CTR calculator computes?
Yes, the same formula — this page targets link click-through specifically, while that calculator combines it with other ad-cost metrics.
Can I use this for an email or ad link too?
Yes — the formula is identical for any clicks-and-impressions pair, whether from a social post, an email, or a paid ad.
