X’s developer documentation recommends H.264 High Profile video with AAC LC audio, at 30 or 60 frames a second and no more than 60, with an aspect ratio between 1:3 and 3:1 (16:9 or 1:1 recommended) and a recommended size of 1280 × 720 landscape or 720 × 1280 portrait.
