- Does this actually check against SkedCast’s real publishing rules?
- Yes — the caption and hashtag checks reuse the exact same weighted counting logic as the caption counter, and the schedule check reads the same composer-profile registry the real composer validates against, so results can’t drift from what would actually happen at publish time.
- Why does the schedule check only affect some platforms?
- Only Facebook and YouTube have a real native-scheduling minimum/maximum lead time on this site’s adapter today; every other live platform is checked for caption and hashtag limits only, since it has no such constraint to check against.
- Does this check media (images or video)?
- Not yet — this version checks caption length, hashtag count and schedule timing. For media specs (dimensions, format, duration, file size), use the media spec checker instead.
- Is anything I type uploaded anywhere?
- No — every check runs entirely in your browser against data already loaded on the page; nothing is sent to a server.
- What does "weighted count" mean next to a character count?
- X (Twitter) does not count characters one-for-one — links, emoji and some non-Latin scripts are weighted differently, so the number shown for X can differ from a simple character count even though it is the more accurate figure.
- Can I check a caption that has no hashtags at all?
- Yes — the hashtag check only applies if hashtags are present; a caption with none simply passes that check on every platform automatically.
