How do you use the Facebook post preview?
- Paste your Facebook caption. Type or paste your draft Facebook caption into the box; nothing you type is uploaded anywhere.
- Add an image URL (optional). Paste a public image URL to see it in the mockup frame, or leave it blank to preview the caption alone.
- Confirm Facebook is selected. This page opens with Facebook selected; switch platforms in the tabs above the preview to compare.
- Read the truncation point. The preview greys out the part of the caption that falls past Facebook’s real "more" cutoff, so you can see what a scrolling reader sees before they tap through.
- Move your hook earlier if it is cut off. If your key message or call to action falls in the greyed-out part, move it earlier in the caption so it survives the cutoff.
What are the Facebook Pages rules to know?
Facebook Pages keeps media at its native shape in the feed and takes video up to 4 hours. The limits SkedCast’s composer checks for Facebook Pages before a post goes out, read from the same rules table the composer uses.

Good to know
- Facebook can only post to Pages you administer — not to a personal profile/timeline.
- Facebook Reels must be a single vertical (9:16) video, roughly 3–90 seconds long.
- Facebook does not support polls via the API.
- You cannot mix photos and video in one Facebook feed post — a video must be the only media item.
- Facebook posts have no separate title field.
