To migrate from Loomly to SkedCast: Loomly’s help center documents a calendar export as PDF, not an importable file, so copy the queue into a CSV for SkedCast’s bulk import. After you cancel Loomly, your calendars become view-only.
What can you take with you from Loomly?
Scheduled posts
Loomly’s help center says List View, Calendar View and Post View can be exported as PDF files, and Advanced Analytics as PDF or CSV. From the calendar, More › Export Calendar lets you pick a time range; a single post exports from its dropdown as a PDF, one per connected account. Exports respect applied filters, and the article says to check your plan for Content Export (Loomly’s Free plan article lists it as included). It is a PDF, not an importable data file.
Disconnecting or cancelling
Cancelling (Account Settings › Billing tab › Cancel Subscription; not shown while on a trial or if you are not the subscriber) keeps the subscription to the end of the billing cycle, after which your calendars move to view-only mode. Loomly has no pause option. Deleting a calendar you own permanently deletes its content. Loomly’s help does not say what happens to still-scheduled posts when you disconnect a social account, or whether posts already scheduled still publish while a calendar is view-only.
How do you move from Loomly to SkedCast?
- Export your calendar as PDF and list the queue. In Loomly, use More › Export Calendar and pick the time range (the export respects your filters, so check them if posts seem missing). It is a PDF, not a spreadsheet, so copy what is still queued from it into a CSV for SkedCast.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Export your analytics if you want the history. The Analytics tab has an Export Analytics button (top right) that exports PDF or CSV, so you keep the history that does not transfer.
- Cancel Loomly once every post is confirmed live. Account Settings › Billing tab › Cancel Subscription. Loomly says your calendars then move to view-only mode once the subscription expires. Confirm every post is live in SkedCast first, since Loomly’s help does not say whether already-scheduled posts still publish from a view-only calendar.
