A 400-character caption on Threads
Threads shows about the first 200 characters before "…more", so 200 of the 400 are hidden until someone taps. Put the hook in those first 200.
The Threads font generator turns plain text into real Unicode characters — bold, italic, script, double-struck, circled, monospace and fullwidth letters — so your Threads bio, name or post can stand out. These are not a special font, a template or an image: each style maps your letters to a different, real set of Unicode code points, the same trick every well-known “fancy text” generator uses. Nothing is uploaded — the conversion happens entirely in your browser as you type.
Threads posts take up to 500 characters, shows about 200 before "…more", and allows up to 1 hashtags. The limits SkedCast’s composer checks for Threads before a post goes out, read from the same rules table the composer uses.

| How length is counted | As you see it: one emoji or accented letter counts as one character |
| Hashtags | Up to 1 per post; extras are flagged before publishing |
| Where the caption is cut off in the feed | About 200 characters before "…more", so lead with the point |
| Text-only posts | Allowed |
| Links in the text | A pasted URL shows a link-preview card |
| First comment | Supported: SkedCast can post a first comment right after publishing |
| Feed crop | 4:5 in the feed preview |
| Images | up to 20 per post · JPEG, PNG · max 8 MB each · aspect ratio 1:10 to 10:1 |

That is 5 over the 1 SkedCast allows for Threads, so the post is flagged before it publishes rather than going out with tags dropped.
