A long post on Bluesky
Bluesky does not fold the text behind "…more", so a 280-character post shows in full; the hard stop is 300 characters.
This Bluesky bio generator turns a role or niche and a value-proposition keyword into a set of ready-to-edit Bluesky bio suggestions — built from Bluesky-specific templates, not AI-written. Bluesky’s profile bio field is capped at 256 characters. The suggestions are short and direct, closer to a plain-text tagline than a heavily formatted bio. Pick one, tweak the wording to sound like you, and paste it into your profile. Bluesky posts take up to 300 characters.
Type what you do and what people get from following you; the generator returns bios in a few styles to copy and edit.
Fill in both fields above to see bio suggestions.
Bluesky publishes its profile format as an open schema, so the limits are exact. The fields that shape a bio:
| Field | Rule |
|---|---|
| Bio (description) | 256 characters; an emoji counts as one |
| Display name | 64 characters |
| Pronouns | 20 characters, in their own field |
| Website | Its own field, so the bio does not need to carry the link |
| Avatar and banner | PNG or JPEG, up to 1 MB each |
| Pinned post | One post can be pinned to the top of your profile |

Who you are, what you post about, and why someone should follow. With 256 characters there is room for a sentence or two rather than a clipped tagline, and many people on Bluesky write plainly, as if introducing themselves. Put pronouns in their own field rather than the bio, and use the website field for your link, so the bio is all substance. Pick a matching handle with the Bluesky username generator, and check a longer bio with the Bluesky character counter.
The limits SkedCast’s composer checks for Bluesky before a post goes out, read from the same rules table the composer uses.

| Text-only posts | Allowed |
| Links in the text | A pasted URL shows a link-preview card |

Typing "indie developer" as the role and "building in public on the open social web" as the value proposition fills all 6 templates below, giving 6 ready-to-edit Bluesky bio options at once.
Bluesky’s profile bio field is capped at 256 characters. That is the constraint every suggestion on this page is written to fit inside.
The handle can be your own domain, which shows people the account is really yours. Per Bluesky’s guide:
In Bluesky, open Settings, then Account, then Handle.
Tap “I have my own domain” and copy the record it shows.
Add that record at your domain registrar, then confirm in Bluesky.
For the website field, one link works best when it opens a page with all your links; build one with the link in bio generator.
Posts that match it. A bio promises a kind of post, and posting that regularly keeps the promise. In SkedCast, write a week of Bluesky posts, add images and alt text, and schedule them on one calendar with your other networks. See the Bluesky scheduler.
