Switch from HeyOrca to SkedCast
HeyOrca lets you export your calendar before you leave, which makes the move straightforward. Export what you need, bulk-import it into SkedCast, and reconnect each client’s accounts. Here is exactly what HeyOrca’s own help pages say you can and cannot take with you.
What HeyOrca lets you take with you
Scheduled posts
In Calendar Month or Day view, select a date range or tick posts, then Bulk Actions › Export downloads a file. HeyOrca’s help does not state a row limit for this export.
Disconnecting or cancelling
Cancel from Billing › Manage Plan › Cancel Subscription, or by emailing HeyOrca support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period; HeyOrca does not document a self-serve way to disconnect a single social account.
How to move from HeyOrca to SkedCast
- Export your calendar from HeyOrca. In Calendar view, select the posts or date range you need, then Bulk Actions › Export.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Rebuild client approvals. HeyOrca’s per-calendar client approvals do not transfer. Set up SkedCast’s guest approval link for each client, which needs no client login.
- Cancel HeyOrca once SkedCast is live. Cancel from Billing › Manage Plan. Keep HeyOrca active until every client’s posts are confirmed in SkedCast, since HeyOrca does not document a way to disconnect one account without affecting the rest of the workspace.
Switching from HeyOrca: FAQ
- Can I export my scheduled posts from HeyOrca before switching?
- Yes. In Calendar Month or Day view, select a date range or the posts you want, then Bulk Actions › Export downloads a file you can bulk-import into SkedCast.
- Will my HeyOrca client approvals carry over?
- No. Client approvals are set up per calendar in HeyOrca and do not transfer. Recreate them with SkedCast’s guest approval link, which a client uses without a SkedCast account.
- Do posts already scheduled natively on Facebook or YouTube stay scheduled if I leave HeyOrca?
- HeyOrca does not say. Its help pages state that HeyOrca-scheduled posts stop, but say nothing about posts a platform is already holding to publish on its own. Treat this as unknown and confirm directly with the platform before you disconnect.
