Switch from Planable to SkedCast
Planable documents a self-serve export: posts can be saved as a CSV (available for all pages, with structured post data and links to the media files) or a PDF (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X). Export what you need, bulk-import it into SkedCast, and reconnect each client’s accounts. Its help pages do not say what happens to a still-scheduled post when you remove a page, so remove those explicitly.
What can you take with you from Planable?
Scheduled posts
Select the page or pages (use the calendar view for several), filter by date, status and more, then use the three-dot menu next to the pages and choose “export posts”. CSV is available for all pages and includes structured post data and links to the media files; PDF is available for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. The article names no plan requirement and lists no CSV column names.
Disconnecting or cancelling
To remove a page, hover it in the sidebar, open its settings gear, scroll to the page and click remove (tick all the boxes). Planable says this is irreversible and leaves already-published content untouched, but its help center does not state what happens to that page’s still-scheduled posts. Cancel or downgrade from your company’s settings › Billing.
How do you move from Planable to SkedCast?
- Export your posts from Planable. Select the pages, filter to what is still to be published, then use the page menu’s “export posts” and choose CSV. Check the media links in the file open without a Planable login.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Rebuild your approval workflow in SkedCast. Planable’s in-context comments and multi-level approvals are specific to Planable. Set up SkedCast’s guest approval link for each client instead.
- Cancel Planable once every post is confirmed live. Cancel or downgrade from your company’s settings › Billing. Confirm every post is live in SkedCast first, and remember that removing a page in Planable is irreversible.
