How to use the caption truncation preview
- Paste your Instagram caption. Type or paste your draft caption into the box; nothing you type is uploaded anywhere.
- Read the visible portion. The preview shows the first roughly 125 characters in full color, matching what a scrolling feed viewer sees before "… more".
- Check the greyed-out remainder. Everything past that point is shown greyed out, so you can see exactly what is hidden until someone taps through.
- Move your key line earlier. If your hook, offer or call to action falls in the greyed-out part, move it into the first line so it survives the cutoff.

The same hook placed after 200 characters of preamble falls entirely inside the greyed-out portion — most scrolling viewers will never see it, since most never tap "… more".
