That is a discussion, not a release: this guide found no announcement that editing has shipped, and no date or design has been committed to publicly.

Browser extensions and third-party clients advertise their own edit features. Those are not Bluesky features, they only work where that extension or client is in use, and this guide has not tested them, so treat them as unverified.

What that means in practice: to correct a published post you delete it and post it again, which loses any likes, reposts and replies it had collected. How do links work in a Bluesky post?

There are three separate things people call “a link” on Bluesky, and only one of them counts toward the 300 characters in the way you might expect.

A URL typed into the text counts in full. A Bluesky maintainer confirmed that every character of the text is treated equally, with no 23-character shortcut like other platforms use. The official app can shorten how a long URL is displayed while keeping the full address underneath, but that is display, and other tools may still count the raw text.
A link card (the preview box with a title and image) is a separate embed on the post, so the address does not have to appear in the text at all. SkedCast’s Bluesky composer has an external link field that builds this card.
A quote post takes the place of a link card: a Bluesky post carries one embed, so you choose a quote or a link card. Images can ride along with a quote.

How do you connect Bluesky to a scheduler?

Bluesky connects with your handle and an app password, not with a login page and not with your main password. You create the app password in Bluesky under Settings, Privacy and security, App passwords, and paste it into the scheduler.
