Migrate from Tailwind to SkedCast
Ready to migrate from Tailwind to SkedCast? Tailwind is Pinterest-only, so moving off it mainly means recreating your Pinterest schedule (and any other platforms you now need) in SkedCast. Its help center documents no export of scheduled Pins; its only CSV features are import and a keyword-list export. Cancelling is documented, but not what happens to still-scheduled Pins.
What can you take with you from Tailwind?
Scheduled posts
No article in Tailwind’s help center (all 125 URLs in its sitemap were read) documents exporting scheduled Pins or the schedule. Its CSV features are import (bulk upload into Pin Scheduler) and a keyword-list export. Nothing says export is unavailable, so this is an absence in its documentation, not a statement that it cannot be done.
Disconnecting or cancelling
Cancel from Account Settings › choose the profile › Change Plan › Downgrade › Free plan › Cancel My Plan. Monthly plans lose paid access immediately; annual plans stay active to the end of the prepaid period, and the account then reverts to the Free plan. Tailwind’s help does not say what happens to still-scheduled Pins on downgrade. Disconnecting and re-adding Pinterest creates a separate new connection and can lose access to content scheduled under the old one (use Reconnect instead). Deleting an account is possible only on Free Forever and permanently removes all posts, Pins, analytics and settings.
How do you move from Tailwind to SkedCast?
- Record what is still queued in Tailwind. Tailwind’s help center documents no export of scheduled Pins. List what Pins are still scheduled before you disconnect anything.
- Bulk-import the CSV into SkedCast. Upload the CSV to SkedCast’s bulk import. Every row is validated against the platform it targets, so a bad row is fixed in the import instead of failing at publish time.
- Reconnect each account. Connect each social account in SkedCast through its own official sign-in. Group accounts by client if you manage several.
- Rebuild any SEO keyword research separately. Tailwind’s Pinterest SEO and keyword tools are specific to Tailwind and have no equivalent in SkedCast, which is a publishing tool.
- Cancel Tailwind once every post is confirmed live. Account Settings › choose the profile › Change Plan › Downgrade › Free plan › Cancel My Plan. Monthly plans lose paid access immediately, so do this only after every Pin is confirmed live in SkedCast; do not disconnect and re-add Pinterest in Tailwind meanwhile, since that can lose scheduled Pins.
