1. Add the MCP Client connection#
In Zapier, open the Apps page under your connections, click "+ Add connection", search for MCP Client, and confirm. Use MCP Client, not Zapier MCP, which runs the other direction.
2. Enter SkedCast's details#
On the "Connect an Account" page, set Server URL to https://api.skedcast.com/mcp, Transport to Streamable HTTP, and OAuth to Yes. Leave Bearer Token empty.
3. Sign in#
Click "Yes, Continue to MCP Client", then sign in to SkedCast in the new tab and grant Zapier access. Rename the connection to "SkedCast" so it is easy to find.
4. Use it in a Zap#
Add an MCP Client step and choose one of SkedCast's tools. If the connection does not appear in the Zap editor, refresh the page.
Requirements#
Before you connect:
- SkedCast: a plan that includes MCP access (see pricing). The connection acts as you, with your role and plan limits.
- Zapier: no plan requirement is documented. MCP Client is a beta feature, so it may change, and it supports tool calls only.

- Is "Zapier MCP" the same as "MCP Client by Zapier"?
- No. They run in opposite directions. Zapier MCP exposes Zapier's own actions to other AI clients. MCP Client by Zapier lets a Zap call an external MCP server such as SkedCast's, and it is the one to use here.
- What can an agent do once it's connected?
- Whatever your SkedCast role and plan allow. The connection acts as you, not with elevated access. It can read posts and analytics, schedule and revise posts, and act on approvals, through the tools listed on the MCP hub.
