1. Open Connectors#
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, click "+ Add", then choose "Add custom connector".
2. Name it and add the URL#
Enter a name such as "SkedCast" and the server URL https://api.skedcast.com/mcp, then continue.
3. Check the sign-in settings#
Claude shows the authentication settings it detected. Keep the OAuth defaults. Choose "Sign in now" to approve access right away, or "Sign in when needed" to be asked the first time a SkedCast tool runs.
4. Approve access and use it#
Click "Add", then sign in to SkedCast and approve the scopes it asks for. To use the connector in a chat, click "+" at the lower left, choose Connectors, and turn SkedCast on for that conversation.
Requirements#
Before you connect:
- SkedCast: a plan that includes MCP access (see pricing). The connection acts as you, with your role and plan limits.
- Claude plans: custom remote connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Ultra, Team and Enterprise.
- A Free account can add one custom connector.
- On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web.
- Members then find it under Customize > Connectors and click "Connect".
- Claude Desktop uses the same account-managed connectors. Local servers configured in claude_desktop_config.json are a different mechanism and are not covered here.
- Claude connects to SkedCast from Anthropic's cloud, not from your device, so your network needs no change.

- Does Claude need my SkedCast API key?
- No. Claude signs in with OAuth 2.1, so you approve access in a browser and never paste a key into Claude.
- What can an agent do once it's connected?
- Whatever your SkedCast role and plan allow. The connection acts as you, not with elevated access. It can read posts and analytics, schedule and revise posts, and act on approvals, through the tools listed on the MCP hub.
