How a scheduled Story publishes
At the scheduled time, SkedCast creates a STORIES container with the media (image or video) and publishes it the same two-step way a feed post or Reel does — create the container, wait for Instagram to confirm it’s ready, then publish. A video Story goes through the same processing wait a Reel does before it can go live.
What Instagram’s Story API does not carry
Instagram’s Graph API does not accept a caption or a location tag on a Story container — this is a limit of the platform’s own API, not something SkedCast withholds. Text, stickers or links added to a Story have to be part of the image or video itself, or added manually afterward inside the Instagram app.
