What is evergreen content?

Evergreen content is content that stays relevant long after it's published — a how-to, a product explainer, an FAQ — as opposed to timely content tied to news or a dated event. Because it doesn't go stale, evergreen posts are good candidates for content recycling: sharing the same post again later without it feeling out of date.

What is evergreen content used for?#

Evergreen content works well for recycling because it doesn't need updating before it's shared again — a how-to or explainer written a year ago can usually go back into the queue unchanged, while a post about a current promotion or event can't.

FAQ

How do I know if a post is evergreen or time-sensitive?
A simple test: would the post still make sense and be accurate if someone read it a year from now? If yes, it's a reasonable evergreen candidate; if it references a specific date, event, or current price, it isn't.
