HubSpot as a social media scheduler alternative: what can it do?
According to HubSpot's knowledge base (read 2026-09-23), its social tool is available with Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise. It connects Facebook and Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, X and YouTube, lets you compose and publish posts and track engagement inside HubSpot, and documents a bulk upload and schedule feature.
It suits a team already on HubSpot that wants social activity next to campaigns and contacts. It is a poor value as a standalone scheduler, because the entry point is a Marketing Hub subscription. Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Telegram are not on the connect list.
What can Adobe Express do?
Adobe Express's Content Scheduler page says you can connect TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest and LinkedIn for free. The free plan supports one account per channel and up to 1,000 posts a month; the Premium plan adds a multi-account feature that connects up to three accounts per channel.
That covers a single brand designing and scheduling in one place. The page does not describe approval workflows, client separation or a bulk import, so it is not a substitute for a scheduler when you manage clients.
What can Canva do?
Canva's Content Planner help says scheduling is available to Canva Pro, Business, Education and Nonprofit administrators and brand designers, so it is not on the Free plan. Supported platforms are Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slack and Tumblr (its page notes this changes). Each design can be scheduled to one social platform at a time, Instagram scheduling must be done from a desktop browser, and each user can connect up to 80 social accounts per team on Pro, Business and Enterprise.
The one-design, one-platform rule is the main difference from a scheduler: publishing the same post to five networks is five schedules.
What about Google tools?
Google does not offer a general social media scheduler. Google Business Profile has its own scheduling: its help page says you can turn on "Schedule this post" and choose a date and time, set a recurring schedule with the Repeats menu, and post across multiple Business Profiles. That is for Google's own posts only.
Google Calendar and Sheets are useful planning aids for a content calendar, but they do not publish to Instagram, LinkedIn or X. Connecting a sheet to a network yourself means building on each platform's API and its approval process, which is what a scheduler already did for you.
When does a dedicated scheduler earn its keep?
Dedicated schedulers such as Buffer and Later exist for these cases. The gap opens when any of these are true:
- One post needs to reach several networks or several accounts in one action.
- You import a month or more of posts from a spreadsheet at once.
- Different clients need separate accounts, calendars and people.
- A client or manager must approve before publishing.
- You want one queue and calendar across every network.
Where does SkedCast fit?
SkedCast is a dedicated scheduler for those jobs: compose once and fan out across 10 platforms, bulk import from CSV or Google Sheets (up to 2,500 rows per upload on Agency), client groups, and approvals (one internal approval on every plan, chains and client links from Studio). It has no unified inbox or listening, and it is not a design tool: bring your designs from Canva or Adobe Express through the media library, and let SkedCast publish them. It has a permanent Free plan, so you can test that pairing without paying.
