YouTube integration: upload and schedule videos
SkedCast's YouTube integration connects your channel so you can upload and schedule videos and Shorts in advance, with titles, descriptions, tags, subtitles, chapters and publish times set ahead of time, and edit a video after it is live. SkedCast publishes at the time you set, or hands the time to YouTube if you turn on native scheduling, and keeps video drops organized alongside every other platform you publish to.
What you can do
- Upload and schedule videos to your YouTube channel
- Set titles, descriptions, tags, subtitles, chapters and publish times in advance
- Change a video after it is live: title, description, thumbnail and subtitles
- Plan video drops alongside your other platforms
Permissions we request
When you connect YouTube, SkedCast requests only the permissions below — solely to schedule and publish the content you compose, at your direction. We store the resulting access encrypted (never your password) and erase it when you disconnect. See our Platform API Data Use & Compliance page for the full detail.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube- Upload, schedule, and manage videos on the YouTube channel you connect.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl- Post the first comment under a video you publish, upload its subtitle tracks, and reply to and moderate comments from your inbox. A channel connected before 20 October 2026 grants this by reconnecting once.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly- Read view, watch-time, and audience reports for your videos so SkedCast can show their performance.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email- Read the connected Google account’s email to identify which login a channel belongs to.

YouTube FAQ
- Can SkedCast upload and schedule YouTube videos?
- Yes. SkedCast uploads videos and Shorts to your connected YouTube channel and publishes them at a set time, with titles, descriptions, tags, subtitles and chapters prepared ahead of the drop. By default SkedCast holds the video and publishes it at the time; you can instead turn on native scheduling so YouTube makes it public at the time. Once a video is live, you can still change its title, description, thumbnail and subtitles from SkedCast.
- How do I disconnect YouTube, or fix a connection problem?
- Disconnect any time from Connected Accounts. If a reconnect picks up the wrong channel, it’s because your Google account owns more than one — our Help Center guide on connecting YouTube covers picking the right one and fixing an expired connection.
- Can SkedCast pin my first comment on YouTube?
- No tool can: YouTube does not let apps pin comments. SkedCast posts the first comment and then shows an Open the comment on YouTube link on the post, so pinning takes one click on YouTube.
- Does the YouTube calendar integration show upload dates alongside my other platforms?
- Yes — once a channel is connected, its scheduled and published videos sit on the same content calendar as every other platform, so you can plan a video drop next to the posts promoting it elsewhere.
