Telegram integration: channel scheduling
Connect a Telegram channel with a bot token: add your bot as a channel administrator with permission to post, paste its token and the channel name, and SkedCast verifies the bot can post there before saving anything. Then schedule text, photos, video, GIFs and albums alongside your other networks.

Permissions we request
When you connect Telegram, SkedCast requests only the permissions below — solely to schedule and publish the content you compose, at your direction. Bot token (Telegram Bot API)- Telegram uses a bot token rather than OAuth scopes. The token lets SkedCast post to the channel where your bot is an administrator and read its member count; it is stored encrypted and erased when you disconnect.

- How do I connect a Telegram channel?
- Create a bot with @BotFather, add it to your channel as an administrator with “Post messages”, then paste the bot token and the channel’s @username (or its numeric id for a private channel) in SkedCast. We check the bot can post there before saving anything.
- What can I post to Telegram?
- Text (up to 4,096 characters), photos, video, GIFs and albums of up to ten items, with optional silent delivery, content protection and forum topics. Telegram has no native scheduling for bots, so SkedCast fires each post at its time.
- The bot stopped posting — how do I fix the Telegram connection?
- Two common causes: the bot lost its "Post Messages" admin right on the channel, or the bot token was regenerated in @BotFather, which invalidates the old one immediately. Our Help Center guide on connecting Telegram covers both fixes.
- Does the Telegram calendar integration show scheduled channel posts?
