# Connect Claude to SkedCast with MCP
URL: https://skedcast.com/developers/guides/mcp-claude

Claude connects to SkedCast like any remote MCP server: add a custom connector with SkedCast's endpoint URL, sign in when prompted, and Claude gets read access to your workspace plus write tools that Claude should confirm before running.

## The connection
Property | Value
Endpoint | `https://api.skedcast.com/mcp`
Transport | Streamable HTTP
Auth | OAuth 2.1: the client runs the sign-in for you. The MCP server does not accept API keys.
SkedCast plan | MCP access depends on your SkedCast plan (see pricing).
Tools | 79 tools: 44 that read and 35 that change your workspace. See the MCP tools reference for the full list.

These steps follow Anthropic's documentation as of 2026-11-04. Menus and plan rules change. If a step differs in your version, follow Anthropic's page: https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-getting-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp

## Add SkedCast to Claude
- In claude.ai, go to Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector. Claude Desktop uses the same account connectors.
- Enter a name and the connector URL below, then continue.
- Review the authentication settings. Choose Sign in now (or Sign in when needed). For the OAuth client, Claude's published identity or Register automatically both work, because SkedCast supports dynamic client registration (RFC 7591) and you don't need to create a client ID.
- Click Add and sign in to SkedCast in the browser window to approve access.
- To use it in a chat, click + at the lower left, choose Connectors, and turn SkedCast on for that conversation.

## The connector URL to enter in Claude.
```http
https://api.skedcast.com/mcp
```

## On a Team or Enterprise plan
An Owner or Primary Owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Members then find it under Customize → Connectors and click Connect.

## Write tools change your workspace
The write tools (the ones that create, edit, reschedule, cancel or delete things) are marked non-read-only. A well-behaved MCP host asks you to confirm before the agent calls one. The agent's effective power is always your scopes ∩ your access, so it can never do more than you could do by hand.

## FAQ
**Q: Is this available on the Claude free plan?**
A: Yes. Anthropic lists remote custom connectors on Free, Pro, Max, Ultra, Team and Enterprise. A Free account can add one custom connector.

**Q: Does Claude Code use the same connection method?**
A: No. Claude Code (the CLI) connects with claude mcp add, a terminal command rather than a settings screen. See the Claude Code guide.
